Program Description
Almaguin Highlands Family Health Team is pleased to announce the expansion of our Well Women Program, dedicated to helping women in our community stay informed and supported at every stage of life.
Our Well Women Program staff provide education to increase awareness of important women’s health issues, including:
- Routine cancer screening, including cervical cancer screening
- Pessary care
- Menopause education and counselling
- STI education, screening, and testing
- Contraception counselling
Whether you have questions about a screening that’s due, are navigating menopause, or want to talk through your contraception options, our team is here to provide compassionate, judgment-free care and education.
When Is It Available?
The Well Women Program runs Monday to Thursday mornings at AHFHT.

The program is led by Amanda Volway and Kayla Cowan, Nurse Practitioners (NP-MRP).
